Along with the Alabama Department of Commerce, the city of Auburn awards $250 000 to help the OraSecure LLC develops the saliva collection device that may help the coronavirus testing safer. OraSecure will utilize $200 000 from Alabama Innovation Fund and the $50 000 from Auburn. It will be used to start mass production of the devices and finish the validation from the FDA. The initial operation will begin in Auburn. I think it's a great innovation in Auburn that will help public health efforts to find the covid-19 pandemic.
